The Land Title and Survey Authority of British Columbia (LTSA) gives high priority to preserving our collection of historical land title and survey records. The Kamloops plan flattening project began in 2017 and is part of our ongoing record maintenance work. It involves flattening plans instead of keeping them on wooden dowels, which causes deterioration.
As announced on April 3, 2019, the LTSA is currently seeking a new Kamloops office location. All records in the LTSA’s Kamloops office will be relocated to the Victoria office by late 2019 where they will be stored in an expansive state of the art climate-controlled facility with special fire suppression technology.
We have two identical copies of each of the plans in the Kamloops office. One set will remain in the office until all of the records are moved near the end of 2019. The other set of plans is going to be flattened.
