The Land Title and Survey Authority of British Columbia (LTSA) is honoured to be selected as one of 11 finalists for the 2017 Institute of Public Administration of Canada (IPAC)/Deloitte Public Sector Leadership Awards. This award program recognizes organizations that have demonstrated outstanding leadership by taking bold steps to improve Canada through advancements in public administration and management.

The LTSA was selected as an award finalist for its leadership in delivering on the 5-year, multi-stakeholder ParcelMap BC initiative. The jury found these aspects of the initiative to be exceptional:

  • Participatory, collaborative, customer-focused build approach
  • Open government-based approach to facilitate access to data and provide the foundation for economic and social development
  • Excellent project management and delivery

ParcelMap BC is the current, complete and trusted representation of all titled and Crown land parcels that forms the spatial data infrastructure for supporting economic and social development in BC. It integrates over 2.2 million titled and Crown land parcels across the province, making it one of the world's largest and most complex applications of survey-aware fabric.

ParcelMap BC was also recognized in 2017 by Esri International with its Special Achievement in GIS Award.
