The Land Title and Survey Authority of British Columbia (LTSA) has released the following enhancements in the myLTSA service:

1. Modification of reCAPTCHAs for Title Search Previews

In response to customer feedback, the reCAPTCHAs security measure has been modified to allow for more seamless processing of title searches.

Further, to ensure customer access to land title information aligns with legislated access requirements, title search previews now display first owner name in an abbreviated form.

When the owner is an individual, the title search preview result now shows owner name with the first two letters of the last name, and the first letter of the first name:

e.g. Jane Doe will be displayed as Do*, J*

For corporations, the company name is handled similarly to last name, with only the first two letters displayed.

e.g. Bank of Montreal will be displayed as Ba*

Complete owner information is included with the purchase of a title.

2. Updates to Scan on Demand Service for Documents

Customers using the Scan on Demand service will be asked to include the PID and other identifying information in the service request screen. This information will help improve responsiveness with service fulfillment.

3. Enhanced Tax Certificates Online Service

In coordination with our tax certificates provider, customers now receive clearer and more relevant information when using the Tax Certificates Online service. Customers can order a tax certificate from a streamlined list of applicable municipalities, and all order error notifications now include actions for resolution.

Support tools for these enhancements are available on the myLTSA Help site. Customers are also welcome to contact the myLTSA Technical Support team with any system questions at myLTSATechSupport@ltsa.ca or by phone at 604-630-9630 or 1-877-577-LTSA (5872), option 2.
