LTO Application to Deposit Plan Form

The Land Title Office (LTO) has changed its practice related to Section 219 – Covenants Required by Approving Officers as a Condition of Approval. It is no longer a requirement for registered owners to sign the Application to Deposit Plan Form declaring that they have entered into a covenant(s) under this section.

In support of this practice change, the Application to Deposit Plan Form will no longer include the “is a covenant the approving officer’s condition of subdivision and indicated on the plan?” option in the Schedule of Owners and Witnesses. The Application to Deposit Plan Form will also be updated to include improvements to the dropdown menu items in the schedules for Owner/Charge Signatures, Approver Signatures, and Surveyor General Signatures, as follows:

  • Re-order dropdown selection items for greater clarity and consistency
  • Update the language used to describe approval types for greater clarity and consistency
  • Remove references to changed or outdated General Survey Instruction Rules
