The Director of Land Titles has published updated versions of the following land title forms, in effect January 1, 2019:
|Form B – Mortgage||
|Form 17 – Fee Simple||
|Form 17 – Charge, Notation or Filing||
|Form 17 – Cancellation of Charge, Notation or Filing||
|Form C – Release||
|Survey Plan Certification||
|Form 42 Notice of Maintenance Order||
|Local Government Filing Form||
These updated land title forms are available for download from a myLTSA Enterprise account(link is external) or from the Land Title and Survey Authority of British Columbia website. Practitioners are reminded that older versions of the above forms–with the exception of the Survey Plan Certification–are scheduled for retirement on July 2, 2019. Older versions of retired electronic land title forms will only be accepted after the retirement date if true copies were executed prior to the retirement date.
Several form changes result from updates to the Family Maintenance Enforcement Amendment Act (the Act) now in effect. Originally announced by the Province in April 2018(link is external), the Act has been amended to provide for the filing of notices of maintenance orders, rather than the order itself, in land title offices. Visit the Family Maintenance Enforcement Program website(link is external) for more information.
The following documents have also been updated in support of the form changes:
- DR 04-11 Hardcopy Land Title Forms (v.2.1)
- Completion Instructions for Electronic Forms (v.1.4)
- Valid and Retired Versions of Electronic Forms (v.1.3)
Customers should further note that the EFS Requirements for Electronic Land Title Plans document has been renamed to Electronic Land Title Plan and Plan Application Requirements. It has also been reformatted for easier navigation, including the addition of a table of contents and a reorganization of content.
