Meet Charlotte, a PMBC Parcel Fabric Technician

ParcelMap BC’s parcel fabric technicians perform complex data integration and fabric refinement to improve the quality and integrity of the database. They are detail oriented and have a solid understanding of procedures, policy and best practices. Let’s meet a member of the team.

Charlotte, who joined LandSure Systems in September 2020, sees ParcelMap BC as a widely used platform essential for accessing provincial land data. From her perspective, accuracy, attention to detail and communication are key components of her role as a parcel fabric technician.

Having honed her communications skills over online platforms, Charlotte effectively meets with different people, multiple times a day in order to complete her projects. She stresses the necessity of these discussions (online or in-person) saying that a ‘second set of eyes’ is extremely important in her field of work.

Charlotte believes that future parcel technicians must enjoy the balance of independent and collective work. In general, she loves that her individual tasks give her a chance to problem solve and multitask throughout the day. She emphasizes that the variation in her position is her favorite part about being a parcel map technician; there are always new and exciting tasks waiting to be completed.
