Please be aware that LTSA’s Land Title Office front counters are open by appointment only. A new booking and visiting procedure is in place to protect the safety of our customers and staff. The Director of Land Titles, together with the Registrar, are responsible for maintaining the integrity, reliability, and security of BC’s land title register as the official legal record of private property ownership in the province.

Land Title services are focused on examining applications under the Land Title Act, registering various land title transactions and providing copies of land title records, such as title information and registered land title documents and survey plans.

The LTSA’s land title services are governed by numerous provincial statutes and regulations. For a complete list, see the Governance page.

The LTSA recommends that all professionals and government entities consult the detailed practice information in the Land Title Practice Manual and obtain guidance on using land title forms from the Land Title Electronic Forms Guidebook (aka “Green Book”). Both are available for purchase from the Continuing Legal Education Society of BC. The Land Title Practice Manual may also be accessed online.
