COVID-19 Notice: LTSA Front Counters Reopening September 27 By Appointment Only

Please be aware that LTSA’s Land Title Office front counters are currently closed. Front counter services will reopen by appointment only beginning September 27, 2021. A new booking and visiting procedure will be in place to protect the safety of our customers and staff. Wearing a face mask is mandatory.   • Registration Process

    The LTSA updates the land title register each time a change is made to the registered title. Changes are made to title when a property is bought or sold, a mortgage is paid off, or a registrable interest, such as a mortgage, is created or modified. Changes may also occur following the death of a spouse, divorce or marriage.
  • Changes to Ownership

    Transferring title, such as after the purchase of a new home or death of a spouse, often requires the expertise of a legal professional. A legal professional becomes your representative in these matters and acts on your behalf. They can advise you on appropriately recording your title ownership and answer property tax questions.
  • Change Mailing Address

  • File Claim of Builders Lien

  • Remove Paid-off Mortgage

    As at March 1, 2017, legal professionals and financial institutions are required to electronically submit mortgage releases to the Land Title and Survey Authority of BC.
