Filings to the Land Owner Transparency Registry for April 2022

In April 2022, the Land Owner Transparency Registry (LOTR) received 15,845 transparency declarations related to registering an interest in land and 2,755 transparency reports from reporting bodies. Since required filings to LOTR began on November 30, 2020, LOTR has received a total of 300,502 transparency declarations and 47,513 transparency reports.

LOTR was established in support of the Province’s comprehensive plan for eliminating hidden ownership of real estate in BC. The Land Title and Survey Authority of BC is responsible for developing and operating LOTR as set out in the Land Owner Transparency Act.

By November 30, 2022, a transparency report is required to be filed to the Land Owner Transparency Registry (LOTR) for land owned by relevant reporting bodies prior to November 30, 2020.
