Claim of Builders Lien Online Application Now Available

File a Claim of Builders Lien application online at ltsa.ca/FileCBL. The new online application includes the option to easily prepopulate key information. LTSA encourages customers to use the online form to submit an application online, by mail or in person.

Land Surveyors Authorized to Submit Form 17 Cancellation of Interior Lot Line Applications

Effective November 7, land surveyors will have the authority to electronically sign and submit Form 17 Cancellation of Interior Lot Line applications, per updated E-filing Directions issued by the Director of Land Titles. Read Land Title Practice Manual s. 137 of the Land Title Act for practice guidance related to Cancellation of Interior Lot Lines applications.

Land surveyors do not have the authority to electronically sign every application type on Form 17s. They are restricted to:

  • “Application for Cancellation of Interior Lot Lines” on the Form 17 Fee Simple
  • “Amendment to Filed Plan” applications on the Form 17 Charge, Notation or Filing.

Review E-filing Directions section 3.2.2 for a list of forms and application types that can be electronically signed by land surveyors.
