LTSA Announces Fee Change for Land Owner Transparency Registry (LOTR) filings

The Land Title and Survey Authority of British Columbia (LTSA) will be changing fees for Land Owner Transparency Registry (LOTR) filings as of May 1, 2022. The filing fees will be $7.50 for a transparency declaration and $50.00 for a transparency report. The fee change addresses the administrative and operational costs associated with maintaining LOTR.

As previously announced, LTSA fees related to Land Title and Surveyor General services change effective April 1, 2022.

Under the Land Owner Transparency Act, the LTSA may set fees for filing to LOTR. As a regulated, not-for-profit statutory authority, LTSA reinvests cash from operations to continually add value in the public interest. Since its creation in 2005, LTSA has invested $104 million (as at March 31, 2021) to maintain operational excellence and leverage technology and other innovations to become one of the top performing land title and survey systems in the world.
