LTSA’s 2023 Year in Review

Over the past year, LTSA has worked hard to introduce improvements that are valued by our customers. As we approach the end of the current year and the dawn of the next, we take the opportunity to reflect on our 2023 accomplishments and look forward to what the new year holds.

In 2023, our pursuit of operational excellence resulted in a better customer experience through the minimization of application turn-around times. We also worked to ensure customers had the information they needed to avoid defected submission packages. Our ongoing customer education webinars and online resources offer relevant, applicable information to help conveyancers with the land title submission process.

We continued to introduce myLTSA enhancements to improve validations, search functionality and copying data between forms. We also introduced online services for applications received directly from property owners and other members of the public, streamlining the process and making it easier for applicants to understand submission requirements.

We’ve made ongoing improvements to ParcelMap BC, and are preparing for an upgrade to ArcGIS Pro that will ensure this powerful online cadastre continues to be a valuable tool for GIS and legal professionals, realtors and many other customers. SurveyHub, a new portal for survey submissions, is currently operating as a pilot and will be rolled out for general use in 2024.

We continue to modernize the technology underpinning the land title and survey systems to support ongoing improvements to online services and enable new product features and capabilities.  We are building an innovative, streamlined and seamless technology platform that will enable LTSA to adapt to new conditions quickly, securely and cost effectively.

LTSA’s ongoing investment in these core systems is creating the foundation of a platform that will serve the whole of the real property market. By nature, the process of buying and selling real estate is a complex, multistep process with many participants. We are working with our industry partners to define solutions that work across the real estate transaction process and ensure the ongoing integrity and security of property transactions in BC.

Through all the changes that we introduce, we will continue to listen to you, our customers, to help us build products and services that align with your needs. Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to working with you in 2024.
