BJ Houghton is a British Columbia Land Surveyor and Professional Engineer and has more than 15 years of consulting experience in Northern British Columbia. BJ is employed by McElhanney Ltd. and is currently the Branch Manager of the Kitimat office, located on the traditional territory of the Haisla Nation. He is responsible for leading multi-disciplinary teams providing survey, geospatial and engineering services to the Land Development, LNG and Resource market sectors.
As a member of the Association of British Columbia Land Surveyors, BJ has participated in appointed committees related to professional practice entry and regulation as a member of the Board of Examiners and Practice Advisory Panel. BJ has also serves on not-for-profit boards including the Kitimat Chamber of Commerce and Kitimat-Terrace Airport Society as a Director
BJ holds a Bachelor of Science in Geomatics Engineering Degree from the University of Calgary.
