Effective next month, applications with an execution date that predates the form’s creation date will be flagged, and customers will be required to resolve the error prior to submission.
Under Part 10.1 of the Land Title Act, an electronic form is the original document, and a printed version becomes the execution copy of the original document. For this reason, an execution copy cannot be dated prior to the electronic form.
