Larry Blaschuk, Registrar of Land Titles
Ongoing enhancements to your LTSA account
Notaries will notice minor changes to certain pages of the LTSA system when preparing land title applications (colour, layout, etc). These changes part of the ongoing work to modernize and improve LTSA’s core systems.
LTSA Webinars
LTSA regularly runs live, one-hour webinars designed for legal professionals who prepare and submit land title applications. In these sessions, participants learn best practices for completing packages and gain insights into how LTSA receives, processes and registers applications. To register for upcoming webinars, visit LTSA.ca/upcoming-events. Currently, LTSA is offering a 5-part series on Strata Plans. Part 1 & 2 are available as recordings and Part 3 – 5 are open for registration.
Tips to avoid a defected application
There are a number of common errors in land title applications that result in a refusal to register and the issuance of a defect notice. We recommend customers be aware of these common mistakes to help avoid receiving future defects. Visit LTSA.ca/learning-centre to learn more.
Introducing: Digital credentials for legal professionals
LTSA has conducted a pilot with 20 lawyers on an updated option for e-signing land title applications using digital credentials. More broad roll-out is expected in the next 6 – 12 months, stay tuned for details.
Introducing: BC Property Connect for property owners
Later this year, LTSA will be introducing BC Property Connect, a new service that allows property owners to create a secure, digital connection between themselves and their property. Be among the first to try the pilot version and share your feedback directly with LTSA. BCPropertyConnect.ca
