This spring, the Land Title and Survey Authority of BC (LTSA) will introduce a new Change of Address (Title Owner) Web Filing form for legal professionals to complete on behalf of their clients. The improved form will streamline the process for submitting a Change of Address, leading to faster turnaround times. Changes include:
- Added as a stand-alone form in Web Filing, the application will replace the Form 17 Fee Simple with nature of interest Change of Address
- Supporting evidence will no longer be required
- Legal professionals will affirm they are authorized by the registered owner to submit the application; property owners will no longer need to sign the form
Legal professionals are also advised that a new form and process will be introduced in the coming months for property owners who submit a Change of Address form directly to the LTSA.
