Beginning this fall, LTSA will introduce retention limits for registered land title and Surveyor General packages in Web Filing. Registered Web Filing packages will be retained for 90 days after registration. Unsubmitted packages will not be impacted.
This change will help reduce version-control risks, limit reliance on outdated information, and reinforce the land title register as the authoritative source of truth, a key principle of the Torrens System.
LTSA will share additional details and reminders in future customer communications.
This initiative is part of LTSA’s ongoing modernization work to streamline land title and Surveyor General submission workflows, complete the transition to Web Filing, and retire the Electronic Filing System (EFS). LTSA’s continued reinvestment in land title and survey systems will further strengthen performance and reliability.
