Effective April 7, 2025, submissions to the Surveyor General of a Statutory Right of Way (SRW) plan of Crown land created in SurveyHub need to be accompanied by the Application to Deposit Plan (DSPL) form generated by SurveyHub with the certificate for signature by the Surveyor General.
Submissions to the Surveyor General of subdivision, reference or explanatory plans of Crown land need to be accompanied by the Application to Deposit (DSPL) form regardless if generated in SurveyHub or not. The DSPL must include the certificate for signature by the Surveyor General.
For Land Title Act plans prepared for the Ministry of Transportation and Transit or for any posting plan prepared pursuant to s.68 of the Land Title Act, the Surveyor General is not required to sign a DSPL form.
Land Title Act plans of Crown land must include the notation shown on the plan image required by SPR 4-5(25): “This plan is prepared as the Official Plan of the lands shown hereon for the Surveyor General”. This notation is not required for Land Title Act plans prepared for the Ministry of Transportation and Transit or for any posting plan prepared pursuant to s.68 of the Land Title Act.
The corresponding Surveyor General web filing form checklists have been updated accordingly. For reference, review checklists. Circular Letter CL#475C has been published, updating the previous version, to incorporate the DSPL requirement for SRW’s of Crown Land.
