Land title and survey systems are essential to BC’s economic and social prosperity, and at LTSA, we’re focused on delivering services in an efficient and effective manner while ensuring the continued integrity of our systems.
Meet Larry Blaschuk, LTSA’s Registrar of Land Titles, as he explains his role as Registrar of Land Titles. The Registrar oversees the registration of applications across our three land title offices, and is responsible for the integrity of the land title system. Three Deputy Registrars support the Register by being accountable for all registration decisions within their respective land title offices.
Did You Know?
British Columbia’s land title system is based on the Torrens System, designed in the 1850s. The Torrens System is still widely used around the world today.
LTSA delivers secure land titles through timely and efficient registration of land title interests and survey records. These services are an essential underpinning to BC’s private property market and the civil justice system, and to BC’s civic governance, taxation and Crown land management frameworks.
Maintaining and strengthening our reputation for being the trusted source for real property information is paramount to us. We achieve this through responsible and prudent fiscal management, a critical focus on our cybersecurity program and by continually seeking innovative ways to improve the business and the customer experience.
