The Land Title and Survey Authority of British Columbia (LTSA) Board of Directors is pleased to announce the following appointments to the LTSA Board of Directors, effective April 1, 2023.
Re-appointment for an Additional Three Year Term
- Sarf Ahmed – nominated by the Government of British Columbia
- BJ Houghton – nominated by the Association of British Columbia Land Surveyors
- Scott Smythe – nominated by the Law Society of British Columbia
The LTSA Board of Directors has appointed Robert Simmons as Board Chair with effect April 1, 2023. Robert is a nominee of the Government of British Columbia and was appointed to the LTSA Board on April 1, 2019. During his tenure on the LTSA Board, he has served as Vice Chair of the LTSA Board, Chair of the New Ventures Committee and Director on both the Audit and Finance and New Ventures Committees. Robert has over 20 years of experience as a finance and operations executive and is a graduate of Mechanical Engineering from Queen’s University and holds an MBA from the Sauder School of Business. Eugen Klein, outgoing Board Chair, was originally appointed to the LTSA Board as a nominee of the British Columbia Real Estate Association in 2014 and reached the legislated maximum terms served as a Board member on March 31, 2023. Eugen has provided excellent leadership to the LTSA over the past year as Board Chair and has served in many capacities during his Board tenure including Chair of the Governance and Human Resources Committee.
