The Land Title and Survey Authority of British Columbia (LTSA) is a publicly accountable, statutory corporation responsible for administering the land title and survey systems of BC. These systems provide the foundation for all real property business and ownership in the province.

The Customer Operations Division is looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and dependable individual who is ready for a challenging opportunity.

The Surveyor General’s responsibilities are met in a number of ways including reviewing and confirming all legal survey plans of Crown land, adjudicating applications made pursuant to the statutes for which the Surveyor General has responsibility, issuing Crown grants, and by providing guidance and direction to government ministries, Crown corporations, land surveyors and others on survey and boundary matters.

The Surveyor General (SG) Technologist position provides support to the Surveyor General and the Deputy Surveyors General in these endeavours.

We encourage you to apply if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics Engineering, Land Use Planning, GIS systems or geography plus 1 year related experience; OR Diploma in Geomatics Engineering Technology, Land Use Planning, GIS systems or geography plus 3 years related experience; OR Grade 12 plus 5 years related experience.
  • Experience working with land dispositions, legal surveys, mapping, plans, legal descriptions and associated research.
  • Experience working with Crown Land records and Land Title records.
  • Experience working with the public, Land Title Offices and government agencies.

Preference will be given to an individual with experience working with Tantalis, myLTSA, or ASTRA.
