File a Claim of Builders Lien application online at ltsa.ca/FileCBL. The new online application includes the option to easily prepopulate key information. LTSA encourages customers to use the online form to submit an application online, by mail or in person.
LTSA COVID-19 Practice Update: Measures Remain In Effect
LTSA confirms that all temporary practice changes published by the Director of Land Titles in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent public health orders by BC’s Public Health Officer remain in effect until further notice.
The Director of Land Titles published the following documents and temporary practice changes in early 2020:
- Practice Bulletin 01-20: Process for Remote Witnessing of Affidavits for use in Land Title Applications
The bulletin provides direction about remote witnessing of affidavits in support of land title applications (including section 49) during the COVID-19 pandemic. - Changes to E-filing Directions for Supporting Documents COVID – 19 Update
The document contains a list of supporting documents for which a true copy may be used in place of the original document. - COVID-19 Resources

These publications and practices remain in effect. A minimum of 90 days notice will be provided for any changes.
Declared by the Province as an essential service during the COVID-19 pandemic, the LTSA continues to operate and customers can still file applications, register land title interests and search for land information through our online systems.
