LTSA Operations Continue as Usual

The Land Title and Survey Authority of British Columbia (LTSA) would like to assure all customers that our operations are continuing as usual during the continually-evolving COVID-19 situation. Although Front Counter services are closed to protect everyone’s health, customers can still file applications, register land title interests, and search for land information through our online systems.

So far this week, we have processed more than 8,500 applications and are meeting our service targets for turnaround times across all service areas. Each year, the LTSA handles more than 4 million search and filing transactions, with nearly 95 percent of all land title applications and 100 percent of survey plans submitted online. Over 50 percent of all land title applications received are automatically processed and registered; the remaining applications are reviewed and processed by Examiners in a matter of days.

Our call centres are open from 8am – 4:30pm each business dayContact us with your questions about land title applications, survey dataset submissions, and your system setup and use.

As a publicly accountable statutory corporation, the LTSA is responsible for operating the land title and survey systems of BC that provide the foundation for all real property business and ownership in the province. We deliver secure land titles through timely, efficient registration of land title interests and survey records, services which are an essential underpinning to BC’s private property market and civil justice system, and to BC’s civic governance, taxation and Crown land management frameworks.
