LTSA Progress on Stakeholder and Customer Objectives in Q3 2019/20
The Land Title and Survey Authority of British Columbia (LTSA) continues to focus on improved stakeholder collaboration, enhanced customer experience, and innovation into 2020 and beyond. The organization’s direction is guided by its Stakeholder and Customer strategic objectives, as outlined in the 2019 Business Plan and reported on a quarterly basis.
In the third quarter of the 2019/20 fiscal year, the LTSA processed over 800,000 online business transactions. Other achievements include:
- The adoption of ParcelMap BC by BC Assessment. Mapped representations of land title, survey and tax assessment information in BC are now aligned, based on the common spatial framework provided by ParcelMap BC. BC Assessment joins an additional 9 new adopters of the entire province-wide fabric, bringing the total to 30.
- Significant amendments to the Land Title Act came into effect on November 15, 2019. New land title forms and E-filing Directions from the Director of Land Titles were published, reflecting amendments to Part 10.1 of the Land Title Act, and replacing the previous Directors Requirements related to e-filing.
- Four Web Filing webinars were held to ensure our customers are well prepared for the launch of Web Filing in mid-February, 2020. Over 400 customers participated.
- In conjunction with Continuing Legal Education of British Columbia (CLEBC), we published and communicated new versions of the Land Title Practice Manual and Land Title Electronic Forms Guidebook. We also presented at the CLEBC Residential Real Estate Conference in December.
Reporting on the progress being made reflects the LTSA’s commitment to delivering accountable, reliable and trusted public administration. View or download the 2019 Business Plan. Please email moreinfo@ltsa.ca with any questions you may have.
