Identity Verification is a secure and convenient way to mitigate fraud risk in situations when remote witnessing and social distancing practices are necessary. The service quickly confirms the identity of your client and provides confidence that forged, expired and stolen IDs are spotted before they can be used to commit fraud.
Identity Verification is an effective tool when working with out-of-town as well as local clients in these times of social distancing. The process is fast and simple:
- In advance of your meeting, send your client an Identity Verification request via myLTSA Enterprise.
- Within minutes your client will receive the request and be asked to scan their ID and take a selfie.
- The service then conducts a series of checks and delivers an Identity Verification report to your myLTSA Inbox in about 15 minutes.
By using Identity Verification, you eliminate the need to handle your client’s ID and reduce the time your client must spend in your office.
The fee to verify Canadian government-issued identification is $9.50 per verification check, plus GST and the myLTSA service fee of $1.65. Foreign identity document verification will be available in future.
We welcome your feedback. Please email myLTSATechSupport@ltsa.ca with any questions or feedback you may have or read more about the service at help.ltsa.ca/identityverify.
