Effective late May, ParcelMap BC customers are advised of changes to labels used for two Owner Type classifications which introduce visual differences and may impact operational work flows for some users. Owner Type definitions associated with the labels remain unchanged and no parcel records will be added or lost due to this change.
CODED VALUE / Domain Description in the OwnerType field in ParcelMap BC Data Products:
- “NONE / None” will change to “UNTITLEPROV / Untitled Provincial”
- “UNKNOWN / Unknown” will change to “UNCLASS / Unclassified”
Owner Type labels in Search Services:
- “None” will change to “Untitled Provincial”
- “Unknown” will change to “Unclassified”
Developed in consultation with the ParcelMap BC Adoption Working Group, the renamed Owner Types will provide additional clarity and support the retirement of the Integrated Cadastral Fabric (ICF) targeted for later this year.
