Updates to E-Filing Guides for Filing Land Tax Deferment Act Letters
The Director of Land Titles has provided directions for filing Land Tax Deferment Act letters that request additional time to secure the release of a Land Tax Deferment Act charge from title. These types of requests should be filed using a Declaration form, rather than attaching a separate letter to a Form A or to the Declaration form.
The following E-filing guides have been updated with this direction:
- Web Filing Form Practice Guides – Form A section 7.2, Declaration section 4.6
- EFS forms guide Directions for Completing EFS Forms (Form A Section 1.1 Paragraph 6 and Declaration Section 1.7 Item (b))
The EFS forms guide has also been revised to include a template for completing a Land Tax Deferment Act letter on a Declaration form.
