TO ALL BRITISH COLUMBIA LAND SURVEYORS

Re: Integrated Survey Area Official Plans and Coordinates

The Town of Gibsons was constituted as Integrated Survey Area No. 52 under authority of Order in Council No. 456/99, approved and ordered April 15, 1999. This has been confirmed by British Columbia Regulation No. 122/99 published in Part II of the British Columbia Gazette.

The integrated survey area boundary for the City of Port Alberni (ISA No. 37) was extended to include additional area under authority of Order in Council No. 455/99. This has been confirmed by British Columbia Gazette Regulation No. 121/99 published in Part II of the British Columbia Gazette.

Integrated Survey Area No. 15 (District of Matsqui) and Integrated Survey Area No. 24 (District of Abbotsford) were annulled and the City of Abbotsford was constituted Integrated Survey Area No. 24 under authority of Order in Council No. 635/99, approved and ordered May 5, 1999. This has been confirmed by British Columbia Regulation No. 155/99 published in Part II of the British Columbia Gazette.

The ISA boundary for the City of Kelowna (ISA No. 4) was extended to include additional area under authority of Order in Council No. 684/99, approved and ordered June 11, 1999. This has been confirmed by British Columbia Gazette Regulation No. 178/99 published in Part II of the British Columbia Gazette.

The City of Terrace was constituted as ISA No. 55 under authority of Order in Council No. 685/99, approved and ordered June 11, 1999. This has been confirmed by British Columbia Regulation No. 179/99 published in Part II of the British Columbia Gazette.

The official plans and NAD83 (CSRS) consolidated coordinate listings are on record in the appropriate land title office and respective municipality. Survey plans within these new integrated survey areas must be prepared using NAD83 (CSRS) derived grid bearings. There will be a grace period until October 31, 1999 for surveys which are largely already completed. We urge surveyors to use NAD83 (CSRS), where possible, on all plans prior to October 31, 1999.

Please note that the official plans for these five integrated survey areas are available for viewing on-line or downloading via the Crown Land Registry Services Web site accessed by clicking here. (updated November 30, 2015)
